According to the PGA, the longest distance a golf ball ever traveled is 515 yards in 1974. Yet, one man made a large bet that he could hit a golf ball a mile. Keep in mind, a mile is 1,760 yards, more than three times the distance that a golf ball had ever traveled. He won the bet and hit the golf ball more than one mile.
